This is Alexis and her beautiful daughters Tehya and KayLee and they live in Syracuse N.Y., about 45 minutes from my studio in Lyons, NY. Tehya is 9 and told me at her studio portrait session all about how much she loves her video games. KayLee is 2 and naturally smiles a lot (which is awesome.)
Kids are usually shy at first when they come to the studio so I play music on and have a singalong and lighten up the mood a little. We take our time to talk and get to know each other. There are toys in the studio for the little ones so that they will feel relaxed comfortable.
To all the Moms and Dads: Get in the photos with your little munchkins, you and they will be so glad that you did. Those photos will mean everything to them when they are grown and have their own munchkins.
